...and it was great! we had a day off work and I went to a family on my sites house. It was a very traditional american thanksgiving (so I'm told) with smoked turkey, mashed potatoes, greens, butternut squash, macaroni cheese, yams, stuffing, cranberry.. a lot like christmas.. followed by pumpkin pie, pumpkin cheesecake, peach cobbler.. mmmm.. the deserts were wonderful.. I really love pumpkin now! anyway, I ate a little of each thing, it being my first thanksgiving and all, then went to another church lady's house for another dinner!! this time puerto rican style!!.. so rice and beans, pork shoulder, potato salad (which contains eggs here), a strange pork/green banana thing and lasagne... I ate so much that day I barely made it off the train and collapsed in a very full state!!
But apart from the food it was great to fellowship with some of my people!
So on thanksgiving week we gave out turkeys and boxes of food to some of the sponsor kids on our site, this was a little stressful but all good!
But that was all a few weeks ago now..it is christmas all the way!The weather is getting colder here, only been bitterly cold on 2 days so far, I am coping suprisingly well with the climate so far, but sidewalk has to be cut much shorter which isn't so great!
Anyway all week we've been giving out stockings they have been made by people all over the country filled with goodies.. then next week all the kids get a gift worth 10 dollars.. as you can imagine these weeks all potential kids on your site will attend and so on friday at my site I had 270 people come.. this is great as we teach a pure evangelical message at this time so they all heard it!!
Yesterday we had a crazy saturday of indoor sunday school it has been upp-ed to 6 sessions instead of 3, so they were at 9,11,1,3,5,7.. with pickups and drop offs inbetween, it was a long day beginning at 7.30 and ending at 10.30 last night but it was good.. however I had my first experience of a full bus with 82 kids on, like 4 to a seat... it was slightly stressful!!!but good/
The other night I helped out in calling some of the ministry sponsors to wish them a merry christmas. It was so great to chat to them, and they encouraged me so much... one lady told me she wasn't getting a christmas gift this year, instead she was giving that money to metro.. people really care so much for what we do, they are so giving. Actually in staff meeting Pastor Bill talked about the verse Luke 6:38, about giving...and how it is often perceived as financial giving.. yet it is so much more, giving of your life, your time, your efforts.. all you can to advance his kingdom..
Yesterday I started to help a little 5 year old boy zip his coat and he said to me "my daddy beats me with a belt".. I asked him why and he replied "because I am bad sometimes... but I am being good at yogibear".. and I couldn't even say anything, I was so taken aback by this little innocent defensless kid telling me this.. and I walked him to his bus and gave him a hug and told him I loved him, and he said "ok, merry christmas"... giving a hug, giving love.. we can never know what that means to someone. Life as a christian is about giving not getting.. it is not about us, first God, then others, then us...
anyway, just some food for thought! I will be back in the motherland in a week and a bit.. looking forward to seeing all again and getting some nice home cooked mummy's food!!but yes, hopefully get to see people. I have to try raise support, so if anyone wants to support the ministry, by commiting to sponsoring me on a monthly basis for ministry funds let me know and i'll hook you up with a pack...
other than that Merry Christmas to all.. if I don't catch you when I'm back then have a blessed season and wonderful new year!!
p.s sorry no pictures but my camera broke

a busy month later..
I get round to writing this! Apologies for lack of contact, but it has been a bit manic...but all good.
so we has pumpkin week.. not halloween as we don't celebrate it, but it was quite the experience.. americans go mad for halloween, it is really sad actually, they are dabbling in things they don't even understand.. but anyway, we carved pumpkins, above is my yogibear! I had only ever carved turnips, so it was quite an experience. So that week each kids got a pumpkin (not as big as this one!!) a christian family in Iowa donate their whole crop to metro.. which is so amazing, because usually metro spent $15000 on them before this!people are so generous.
So my site happens on friday, which was halloween and it was expected to be crazy... with eggs and stuff, so we were warned, as well as that there was a lot of gang activity and so we were being very careful but God was very faithful and no situations arose.
Time changed last weekend so it is getting darker much sooner and so our sites are being shortened. Also it has rained quite a bit, so we have to adapt things as we go! need to be flexible!
So it is mid semester.. and tiredness is setting in, but we are trying to keep the energy high! I am still enjoying and really seeking out what God has for my people on my site. I really feel I am making relationships with the kids and people which is great, but I am seeking what else He wants for it. I would appreciate prayer for this, just for discernment and guidance.
Thanksgiving is coming up so we will be delivering turkeys and 'boxes of love' to the sponsor kids whose sponsors paid for them to have it.. so that will be interesting. We have been wrapping presents too for christmas, so it is all go.
I'm keeping well and enjoying it muchly! Definetely a job with high job satisfaction!!
anyway hope all is well at home, I'll finish with a story from friday's site..
we were teaching a emotional lesson, ' encourage yourself in God by remembering all the good things he has done for you'.. and Char the other staff shared her testimony, of how her mom kicked her out of the house when she was just 15 because she wanted her to be her mom and stop drinking... and the holy spirit was right there on the basketball court and the kids were experiening God's presence, it was so strong. Afterwards a little boy named Robert came up to me bawling his heart out, and I asked what was wrong and he said ' my mom left me'... he was so broken, this little 5 year old, his mom had walked out on him and he understood exactly what that meant, and his little heart is broken, he lives with him Gran and Dad.. and I couldn't do anything but cry and hug him and tell him that God would never leave him. and it really hit me, these poor kids... all over the world, shouldn't have to suffer such heartache.. it is heart breaking.. I just pray that he will always know God's love for him and will put his trust in God. It also made me realise again how blessed I am.. how we all our, so I guess I share this to encourage you to not just rattle through each day, but realise how blessed you are and be thankful..but also to pray, pray for the cause of the oppressed, fatherless and widows and all those in desperate need, as christians that is our duty Isaiah 1:17... prayer is so powerful.. check out 2 Kings 20.. how king Hezekiah prayed and God changed the outcome..
please pray for little Robert, that God would heal his heart.
Thanks for all your prayers,
love sarah

5 weeks later..
.. I get around to writing a proper blog!
It is crazy, can't believe I've been here this long, yet it has flown by... we are going into our third week of sidewalk now on Tuesday!! It has been going good so far! Our numbers have been high, so we are aiming for more and more each week.
Saturday sunday school has been going good too..I am back on one of my buses from last semester, so it is cool, but a real challenge.. the kids are wild.. but it is ok!!
Apart from that.. church is good and life is good as the weather is nice, mild, sometimes hot and still sunny!!
I'm really seeking out what God wants to do on my site, with our people.. seeking out what I am to believe for this semester. I am learning so much that we need to seek out God's will, then we need to have faith in that, do it and by our faith it will be done in Jesus name. It is simple yet so profound! So, yea any prayers for me, please pray for a vision of what God wants to do.. what he has instore for my sites. Please pray for the people, that they would have hungry hearts.
Hope all is well back home in harvest season (it is weird there is no reference to that here) but halloween and thanksgiving are already being talked about... we don't celebrate halloween at yogibear, we call it pumpkin week and give away 'hallelujah candy'!!oh america!
sorry no pictures yet.. I'm on it for next time!
mucho amores

I have arrived...
in Brooklyn! I touched American soil after a bit of a delay at 10.30pm US time last Saturday!
So I've been here for over a week.. it was so weird to be back to begin with. Still feeling very much like an intern! Anyway we had the week off to get settled in, so have started the process of official things like social security numbers, also took a trip to Ikea to kit out my room. I'm living in a flat with 2 other staff, I have my own room, but it hasn't got a window which isn't the greatest but I have plenty of fans! So this week was about settling in, Nati a returning staff had her birthday on Thursday so we celebrated that. there is 11 returning staff and we've mostly been hanging out all week as the rest are all in work!
So on Friday we found out what Units we'd be working in for real now!! I was placed back in my Unit..!this is great and I was the only one this happened too.. I feel blessed! So I have my same site in Harlem I had on internship, my kids and my people! it is great!! So I am very excited!
On Friday through until Saturday I attended a teaching session in the church called na 'encounter'.. this experience was amazing.. where God dealt with some stuff I've been dealing with.. I was am now walking in freedom!! Hallelujah!
So work offically starts on Tuesday, Will be in the office for these two weeks.. then semester begins!! I am so excited!!
I didn't settle as quick as I had thought, I am more so now, so thanks for all the prayers and well wishes!! Hope all is good at home!
Please pray for these 2 prep weeks, and as our teams meet our interns for this semester!
Love to all readers!

Time goes by...
I have been home from NY for about 6 or 7 weeks now, this time has totally flown! I still feel like I'm just home, catching up with people for the first time in ages!
However I am going back in two weeks time to work with Metro Ministries fulltime as a staff worker for the Sidewalk Sunday School department! It is pretty crazy that I'm actually moving away.. but it won't be forever.. a year at least, and really how the Lord leads.
Tonight it really hit me that I'm leaving, I co-hosted a BBQ for my young people from church, and it was great. New people moving up as they start secondary school, and just catching up with the regulars I haven't seen since February.. they are so great and as I drove home it hit me... I am going to miss so much of home. I'm going to miss at least a year of these young ones life.. and now that has got me thinking.. hence why I am blogging.. purely for my own through process..
However, I believe in God's promise to me, in Mark 10:28-30..
Peter said to him, "We have left everything to follow you!" ...."I tell you the truth," Jesus replied, "no one who has left home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and the gospel will fail to receive a hundred times as much in this present age (homes, brothers, sisters, mothers, children and fields—and with them, persecutions) and in the age to come, eternal life."
I am leaving much behind for now, but there is so much I will gain...
if by any chance you are reading this before september 6th, please say a prayer for me as I get ready to leave, thanks

All good things...
must come to an end...
The sidewalk trucks parked for the SummerAs I write I am one of 4 now externs left to leave Bushwick. I stayed on 2 extra days and so fly on Thursday evening.
This last month has been the craziest all semester. I had a lot of work on, we had to complete a written lesson as a group and then preach it.. this was great practice for us- and our group ended up doing really well. A
s well as this I had to make a picture portfolio of my time here- a bit like an art project thing. Alongside this I had sidewalk still going on and other events like Wepa Puerto Rico and other such things...
Our theme on Sidewalk for the last four weeks was LIFE.. taking one of the keys to the Life God has for you each week.. Love God, Integrity, Forgiveness and Endurance. It was a great seris which even minstered to me as I prepared and taught.
We had our graduation on Friday last week.. so we are now all offically externs. Last week was our last sidewalk, and Friday was my last site. It was hard to say goodbye to the people, some kids I made connections with, knowing I may never see them again.
However we rounded off the semester so well, when we took some kids to the movies. There was a little guy Justin who God really laid on my heart all semester- and out of the 1000 kids in the raffle we did, he won one of the tickets to go and I had the pleasure of being in his company for a whole evening. He and the others are so precious, for them this evening out with YogiBear is a very big deal, but it was a bigger deal for me, it was so awesome.
So at the end I try to reflect on what has happened these last four months and how I have been changed by it, but I am finding it difficult to perceive exactly, I think I will be at home for a while before I fully realise. I know that my vision for my life and my identity in Christ is most definately changing. I've had the most amazing time here, having the priviledge to be God's messenger to these kids and people.
One of Pastor Bill's quotes is 'One person can make a difference in someone's life' - As I've been here I have come to truely believe this, having seen the influence this ministry has on NYC.. this ministry is onto some true and real.. it has a passion and action after spreading the gospel like I've never seen or heard of before.
All christians are commanded to go and tell, but yet so often 'evangelism' and ministry are just a part of our life with Christ.. but ministry should be your life... your life and how you chose to life it is your ministry.
I came here to serve but I have gained more than I could ever imagine.. I am so grateful to God for this opportunity.
But Jesus called the children to him and said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these". Luke 18:16
I want to thank you all for your prayerful, financial and any form of support you gave me these last months. I have been truely blessed by each one of you. Thank you from my heart, without your support these months may not have been possible for me. So thank you and God Bless you,
Looking forward to attempting to explain my experiences here very soon.. see you all soon. Please pray for safe travel, adjusting back to N.I life and future plans.
Until I see you,
much love

time is flying..
.. it is official, I mean I knew it was, but wow it is unreal!
So things have been going great. Sidewalk Sunday school is continuing each week, have had lots of different themes, from Laundry week to crazy hair to yogi bear idol to jungle week this incoming week! As time is going on I am meeting more people and building relationships with some families, which is awesome. Church had a special evening for Mom's in aid of Mothers day which was last sunday. We brought moms who had never been to church before,it was great! Numbers have been growing of our people, from our harlem area. Last Sunday our bus for church was FULL...it was awesome, God is moving in this place, itis such a priviledge to be part of it. Pleasepray thi s will continue and that we maybe equipped to minister to them.
Indoor sunday school on saturdays is going great too! We have switched responsibilites,so now I'm helping out in the overflow, so have had the opportunity to teach twice.. very humbling to be part of this ministry.
All us interns are getting on great, like a big family.. it is going to be sad to leave. We are all avoiding talking about it! however we need to be praying about the future as there aremany opportunites to stay on here as staff. Would appreciate your prayers as I seek God's plan for my life.
Class is still going, it is good have had work to hand in, now have to make a portfolio ofmy time here with pictures and also interview staff to gain a better understanding of ministry, so that is on going alongside other work.
I'm doing good, really loving this work. It is so wonderful to be able to love kids and love families and get to know them.. it is so natural because that is what we are called to do as Christ's followers. I lost my voice last week, it is better but I am now coughing.. I feel like I'm continually fighting sickness- as is most people here..I know it is satan trying to stop us but we will continue!!please pray.
Thanks so much for your prayer and support, I am so grateful, God has been so faithful and I know it is partly because of the intercession you guys have put in!so thanks!!

Above is all us interns... where´s waldo?!

que awesome...
... is a unit catchphrase we use continually... so thought I´d do a quick update as my friend lent me her laptop and I thought I´d avail of the fast speed processor and post..

It is now coming to end of week 5 of sidewalk... time is flying by crazily. Last week our theme was overcoming guilt. There was some good weather (I mean a Northern Ireland´s best summer weather) toward the end of the week and so our numbers increased and from my sites on Friday there was 210 people heard the Word.. I think this is awesome, I am still awe of the potential of this ministry.

This week our teaching has been based on overcoming fear. There has been more lovely weather so I am praying for even more kids tomorrow at my sites. Please join and pray with me that the kids and adults will come, with a hunger, a real hunger for more from this life.. and that we may show them Jesus.

All is going great still, the class work has started to kick in, which is quite challenging to fit in around sidewalk. We had a test on Wednesday and have an assignment due in a week and a half.
I´d appreciate for the work as my time and brain power is very limited these days.
I´d appreciate for the work as my time and brain power is very limited these days.
So it is all go go go, nothing much new, been so busy that haven´t had a chance to have much leisure... but all good.
It will be 7 weeks tomorrow that I´ve been here. It is hard to believe! Would love to hear updates from home, please and thanks.
God has really been working in my life, please pray that this will continue, that I will continue to be moulded for my Masters use.
I must go and get some rest, but thanks for all the prayers.. I can´t even express my thanks, I am so grateful.. keep it up, that would be que awesome!

time is flying by..
it is scary!.. wowza.. been a crazy few weeks!
So a quick update- We had week 2 of sidewalk sunday school.. focused on God's gifts, then week 3 was about anger, which just finished on Friday. So yea SSS has been awesome, the team are bonding more and getting more confidence. This last week we had a birthday theme which was lots of fun.. I even got a cream pie in my face!

So yea SSS has been awesome, the team are bonding more and getting more confidence. This last week we had a birthday theme which was lots of fun.. I even got a cream pie in my face! Please pray for this weeks lesson, about guilt, that people will be released from the burden of guilt as the gospel is preached this week over the city.

Since last post there have been two indoor sessions which happen on Saturdays. Above shows praise time. We have three sessions like this each Saturday.....It is amazing to be part of it. My bus routes are good fun.
Please pray that they will increase, that we will have full buses next weekend and that I can establish a significant over the kids who need it most.

Other than this have been busy with church and various other events. It was my birthday on Friday.. halfway to 46...! had a good day, though really busy and crazy. Thanks to all who sent cards, gifts and well wishes. I was really spoiled! I had my bed decorated after midnight on Thursday and received a cake from my family.. which was amazing- american icing is goooooooooood.
Doing something with some people tomorrow to celebrate!
and the only negative thing about this post... LICE.. of the head variety. It seems it has broken out among the 30 girls.. with at least 33% contracting this horrid condition, myself included, although I only was blessed with the nits! so this weekend has been mental, everyone de-nitting their heads and washing and drying ever fabric they possess! So i made this shocking discovery on my birthday.. quite humourous..
As it is late I am going to get sleep.. but will leave you with a funny comment a kid said to me.. "how can you see? I mean your eyes are blue, so how do you see?"
I had to educate the little love about the pupil and iris.. thought it was quite cute..
anyway.. over and out
thanks for all the prayer.. I am indebted to you all.. keep seeking the Lord, and he will be found by you.

better to be busy...
than bored... right?!

Some shots from SSS
Things are busy here at Metro.. but it is all good! So last Tuesday-18th we got sorted into our Units for Sidewalk Sunday school. This is when we go out in Trucks from Tuesday-Friday to different locations over NYC preaching the word of God! I am in Unit 13 placed in Spanish Harlem right by Manhattan. We spent all week preparing for that. We started on Tuesday 25th. The whole experience of it is awesome! Below is my Team... from back left.. Danilo from Switzerland, Jason (unit leader) from Canada, Izzy from California, Front, Irene (staff) from Belarus, moi and Kathy (staff) rom Ecuador.
It has been hard at times trying to get used to the format and schedule, but has been fun! I had to dress up as Yogi bear one day... but the craziest moment was standing on 2nd avenue, during rushhour, preaching about how satan is defeated, to 30 kids sitting on the sidewalk, while the New yorkers rush by. You take a day off sidewalk sunday school each week to go and Visit your site (you manage a day of SSS). So on Thursday Izzy and I ventured into 3 different projects (flats)... this was rather scary. We go knocking on Kids doors handing out flyers to invite them to yogi bear. God really really provided, protecting us from any danger.. Praise to him.. the only low point was I stood in a big puddle of urine in the elevator.. and it wasn't from an animal...
So aside from sidewalk this week we have been in class each morning. Tomorrow sees the start of Indoor Sunday School. This happens each saturday at the church here in Brooklyn. 3 sessions in a row.. kids are collected and dropped back to their neighbourhoods. I am riding on 2 of the buses and helping in Nursery.. we have been preparing for that too.
Sunday we have church in the Morning here in Brooklyn, then in the afternoon my unit take a bus to Harlem and collect some of our kids and parents and take them to church in the Bronx for an afternoon service. That is such an amazing ministry... the relationship the staff workers have with these people is great. The people are so awesome.. one lady invited us into her house when we were out visiting on Thursday and gave us peanut butter and jelly sandwiches with ice tea to wash it down!
As the days go on I'm so impressed by this ministry. They reach out to so many groups of people, kids, parents, young and to the different communities and groups, eg they have a ministry with the prostitutes in this area and a child sponsorship program. That is the reason us interns are so busy.. we are getting to experience every aspect of this ministry and so help out with all. It is quite overwhelming to be completely honest.. the days are long and tiring and we get very little time free.. but it is enjoyable, testing and really interesting.. I am looking forward to being in a routine, when I know exactly what I'm doing and when.. at the minute it feels like being back at Uni for the first time, not quite sure of everything..But I'm sure it won't be long until I'm in the way of things.
I'm really sorry for no reply to emails.. I am not making excuses, but really I get very limited time to do anything. Please email me guys with all your updates of home! I have been thinking about home and all you friends and family today.. would love to hear from you guys! Also I got a cell phone this week, I'm in the process of figuring it out as it is a very very cheap old school handset, so when I do I shall be able to text for very cheap...
I shall leave with a little thought from my crazy week...
Serving the Lord is a priviledge... whether you serve him by preaching the word, or by cleaning toilets. In our daily lives we are serving him whether we are doing mission work or not... we are an example, people watch those who know the Lord, we need to be aware of this at all times and walk in holiness. I also have been learning about God using us in our weakness... Satan tries to tell us that we are not capable and so we shy away from seizing opportunities, but the word says that God uses us in our weakness.. on Tuesday when I was SO scared about doing my first sidewalk.. the Holy Spirit showed up and took over.. praise the Lord.. but in order for this to happen I had to be oh so aware of Satan trying to stir up fear.. so Today, ask God for his power to do exactly what he desires for you to do, and go do it boldly- with confidence in the Holy Spirit... sermon over and out

St.Patty's Day...

.. is celebrated way more here than in ireland.. and they can't even spell it right!! We went downtown today.. the place was hiving with many many people pretending to be irish, dressed up etc..
I was too short to see anything, but what I did see wasn't overly impressive.! As it was a nice day we went up the Rockafellar center.. which was lovely, got some good pictures.
This is Lene From Norway on the Left and Nati from Spain on the right.
I'm still not back to full health.. but getting there slowly but surely.. thanks for prayers so far people! Keep interceeding!
As you can see I've added some photos for your viewing pleasure this time.. below is where we live. It used to be the Mayor of Brooklyn's house back in the 1800's.

Tomorrow sees the start of our work, we find out which area we will be in and will be planning, we will begin Sidewalk Sunday School next Tuesday all being well!
Please continue to pray, especailly that God will give me compassion and
his heart for the people I'll be working with and that I will be disciplined in my own personal study. Thanks again..

End of week one...
...seems like so much longer.
We've been hardcore training all week which was good but hardcore indeed! Americans start everything earlier in the morning, so we have breakfast each day at 7.
We are having a staff retreat at the minute, last night, this morning and tonight, where Pastor Bill Wilson is speaking himself.. been good so far.
Still trying to adjust to this culture and things, so would ask that you pray that all interns will gel well, and pray also for the teams, which are being decided this weekend/early week.
Also please pray for my health as I am taking something relating to my throat, ears and chest.. I'm dosing up on Tylenol but feel a bit spaced out because of it.. other people are sick too, so please pray that we'll be healed and built up as we go out this week to see our areas and start planning... thanks.

Brooklyn baby...
.. so it is Sunday here. Already feels like I've been here for so long! We went to Metro church this morning, which was amazing... really different, in a good way! We then went for a dander down broadway here in Brooklyn; it is so weird here, like home everything is open on Sundays, but not only that, everyone goes shopping, including Christians!
Anyway, all is good, today it is sunny, very cold but sunny! Tomorrow is our last day off before we begin offically so we'll probably head downtown and do some of the sights!!
I'm very aware I've posted a blog everyday since arrival.. this won't continue as we've been told from tomorrow on it will be hardcore working!
By the way... thanks for all texts/emails, I haven't worked out how much I'm getting charged to receive texts (if anything) and how much it is costing me to send, so until I know, I'm sorry for no reply!
that's all for now... over and out!

I made it to New York...
the title says it all, I'm sitting in my new 'home' in Brooklyn, it is nearly 6pm here so I guess that is 1am at home.. travelling alone was surprisingly fine and quite liberating but I did kind of freak out when I arrived into the terminal and noone was there but scary people offering me taxis!! but the Lord was really really good and ordered everything in my favour today.. Praise to him...
All seems fine, Most of the other interns are european, I'm severely outnumbered because I don't speak German.. but still more to arrive this evening and tomorrow... anyhow I have no idea what is happening over next few days etc but would appreciate prayer that I'll settle in and develop friendships... all is very very surreal I guess due to tiredness and stuff but once I settle in I'm sure it will be great!
Didn't think I'd be posting so soon, let's hope this is a trend being set for my time out here!

beginning of farewells..
.. as it is only 11 days until I take off... eeeek
had a lovely shindig with the girls at the weekend, including american themed party and lots of laughs, 'twas a tad sad though..

anyway if you are checking into this blog already, you are offically hardcore (and I love you for it).. the main reason is to ask for prayer as I get all sorted to go over next while, I am getting really swamped with all I have to sort and organise which is so minor in comparison to what I'm about to embark on.. so please pray I will have a peace as I get organised and that all things will come together over next week and a half..
thanks, that would be fantastical..

one thing I said I'd never do...
is jump onto the blogging bandwagon..
mainly because I always thought my life was too boring to share with the world or I just couldn't be bothered.. one or the other, anyway with recent exciting opportunites arising and coming rather soon I've decided to give this a go. I figured this may be a good way to keep people who want to be informed, informed, rather than doing the whole group email thing, which I'll probably still do..
I've just realised another reason why I vowed not to blog.. I'm a bit of a waffler and an atrocious spellre...
anyway, I'll give it a go, one can only try their best.. as I have no idea about time I'll get online when away.. I apologise in advance if I don't manage to keep this up!
So it's New York New York I'm headed to, incase you didn't guess such already, volunteering with Metro Ministries, who work in the ghettos with children and their families, to try and bring hope and love in Jesus name to these violent, hopeless areas.
I leave in about 4 weeks time, preparations are not really as fast as they should and the realisation that I'm actually going hasn't sunk in. Anyway, I'm sure it will as these next few weeks fly by!
